5 Boring Ways to Make Extra Cash

Awesome and Easy Ways to Earn Money Online
Now the real reason you're reading this post. Here are my favorite ways to earn easy money from the comforts of sitting on your butt.

Bing Rewards
I've been using Bing for over a year now and have made over $700. Basically you get paid to use Bing as your search engine and they have daily points too. You earn points and redeem them for prizes. My favorites are to redeem them for Amazon giftcards, Starbucks giftcards, or 1 free month of Hulu. You can also transfer them to Swagbucks points.

Use my link to get free 150 points once your reach Silver.

This is what I've been using for over 5 years now. It's super easy to earn points and they have a good selection of rewards to choose from. You get emails about things to do to earn points. The easiest is to click the ads they send to you. They also offer surveys and coupons to earn points. I'm lazy and just do the ad clicking. I made a special folder for MyPoints and check that folder once a week.

Inbox Dollars
A lot like MyPoints, you get emails to earn points from clicking. You get paid in cash once your eat $30. I generally enjoy the surveys here more since they're easier.

This site offers multiple ways to earn rewards. From taking surveys to watching videos to playing games. I visit the site daily to do polls and watch videos. If you have time you can do surveys as well.

Slow and steady wins the race. You get actually cash from this site. You click on ads and spend about 5-30 per click and earn fractions of a penny, but they add up over time. If I happen to be on the phone for a long time or have some spare time I'll click a few of these ads. The earning is slow but earning a few cents while I'm on hold with the utility company isn't bad!

If you're shopping online, you should definitely stack on the discounts. Use Ebates to head to your shopping destination and earn money back on your purchase.

How to Start a Blog

Thinking of starting a blog? In today's modern technology world, most every one already has some inkling of how to start a blog. But, maybe you're looking for some insider tips. Whether you want to blog about your life or make extra income, a blog can be a fun hobby.

I started this blog in November 2011.
I've blogged about a variety of things from my life, product reviews, giveaway, travelling to how to's. I've really enjoyed writing about things and it's been a really good creative outlet for me. Also, I've met some pretty cool people along the way.

Step 1 - Choose a Blogging Platform
As you can see, I'm using Blogger which is owned by Google. I've tried many blogging platforms in the past - Xanga, LiveJournal, WordPress, etc. My decision to use Blogger was simple. The User Interface (UI) is very user friendly. Layouts are easy to design and manipulate. I'm not good with scripting some I need something fairly dummy proof. Since it's owned by Google, everything is linked to my Google account which made things very easy for me.

I know there are people that swear by WordPress. I may try it out someday.

Step 2 - Complete Your Blog
Want more traffic to your blog? Make sure it's complete. Get a fancy layout. Don't know how to script? Etsy sells awesome layouts at a variety of price points. Generally they come with tutorials on how to install them too! Also remember to link up your social media write and "about me" page.

Step 3 - Start Writing
Yes, start writing. Your blog needs content that's why people are visiting your site in the first place. Knowing what to write may not come easy. Finding your niche takes time. My best advice it to write about whatever interests you. Monitor your traffic and see what people like.

Optional - Buy a Domain
Other people might say that this is a necessity. Well, if you're new to the blogging game, this might be an investment you can wait on. I don't see a need to get a domain until you have a lot of advertisers and visitors to your site. Generally if people really like your blog, they'll bookmark it and won't really need to remember your url anyways.

What do you think? Any questions?

Scentbird Review

Like many people, I enjoy wearing perfumes. Who doesn't want to smell nice? Generally I don't buy or own many perfumes because they're pricey and I only have 1-2 bottles at a time. I don't buy a new one until I've finished a bottle. I wish there was a more cost effective way to try many scents without breaking the bank.

I discovered a new subscription program, Scentbird, which is a monthly perfume subscription. The price is very reasonable and the amount is small enough to last a month. I could try new scents and have a variety at the same time. They have a huge library of scents to compliment all personalities.

The first step is to answer a few quick questions on about your personality and style. Once you get your suggestions, you can add them to a queue.

Packages are sent around the 15th of every month. It's exciting to open your mail and get a cute little 8mL fragrance. Your first package comes with a canister to hold your perfume. It comes with a nice velvet pouch. Simply twist the tube and the sprayer comes out. It's travel friendly and I can bring in on the go if I want to fresh up later in the day.

The cost is $14.95 a month with free shipping. You can also cancel whenever you want without any penalties or fees.

Morimoto Napa

Who is Morimoto? Masaharu Morimoto is a Japanese chef, best known as an Iron Chef on the Japanese TV cooking show Iron Chef and its spinoff Iron Chef America. He is also known for his unique style of presenting food. He has several successful restaurants, one of which is Morimoto Napa.

So far I've had the pleasure of dining here twice. I would love to eat here each time I visit Napa, but Napa has a lot of food to offer. This is just one of my favorites.

The toro tartare is my favorite dish and it's a must try! Morimoto presents the fish in a very unique way and the tastes are out of this world. Tip, make sure to ask for freshly grated wasabi. It'll take your experience to the next level.

If it your budget allows, go for dinner to try their pre fixe menu. Or if you're just going for lunch I would recommend their chirashi. Very beautiful plating and generous amount of fish.

My Vegas Bucket List

Thinking about going on a vacation to Vegas? Well I've been going to Vegas about twice a year for the past few years now. I decided it was probably about time that I put together a list of some sorts. If you're thinking of going to Vegas and you never been and you don't even know where to start, here's a few activities I highly recommend doing.

In no particular order...

Take a selfie with the Fountains of Bellagio
The fountains are iconic so you don't want to miss this photo op. It's also just fun to watch the fountains as they are pretty impressive.

Check out the Bellagio Conservatory
Might as well go inside Bellagio if you're already there for the fountains. The Conservatory changes decor seasonally. It's usually packed since it's popular, but it's a nice place to take pictures.

Eat at a luxurious buffet
Vegas is about overindulging. You should at least try one buffet while you're here. There have been many a great debate over which buffet is the best. Currently, I would highly recommend Bacchanal at Caesar's Palace or Wicked Spoon at Cosmopolitan.

Get a frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity 3
Vegas getting a little too hot for you? Try the frozen hot chocolate at Serendipity's. It's delicious! Or have you already tried it and didn't think too much of it? Well then try their Sundaes.

Go shopping at The Forum Shops
If you love shopping, this is a great place to spend your day away from the sweltering heat. They also have a pretty huge H&M shop and tons of luxury shops too.

Watch a Cirque du Soleil show
Every time I go to Vegas I try to watch at least one Cirque show because they're awesome! So far I've seen, Mystere, Ka, Zumanity, Zarkana, and La Reve which technically isn't a Cirque show but similar.

Take glamorous selfies at the Chandelier
The Chandelier bar at Cosmopolitan is beautiful and worthy of a selfie. It's also a fun bar to just hang out at.

Drink an oversized margarita
You see them everywhere you go in Vegas. You can get a plain big cup or a faux electric guitar. Keep the party going with an endless supply of booze.

Brunch or Dinner at Mon Ami Gabi
Not only is the food here delicious but you can sit out side and get an awesome view of the fountain show while you dine.

Divulge yourself on sweets with Sprinkles or Bouchon
Yes more food! If you don't have a Sprinkles or Bouchon where you're from, you should definitely check them out. Sprinkles makes yummy cupcakes - they're best one is the red velvet but I love them all. Bouchon is a French bakery known for their macarons.

So what do you think of this list? Have you been to Vegas? If so, what are some of your recommendations.

Also note, yes Vegas is also known for gambling, pool parties, and clubbing.
